Many company executives are enthusiasts of classical music and perhaps even play an instrument. A number of professional ensembles – e. g. the Gewandhaus Leipzig, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Rundfunkchor Berlin – have begun to offer programmes and events that bring managers and musicians together, staging performances under expert guidance. While networking and sponsoring opportunities certainly are among the benefits for both sides, it is generally agreed that the enjoyment of music is the central motivation.
